Exciting new reveal at Oakfield Rise

Oakfield Rise Retirement Estate residents and soon to be residents were elated with the unveiling of a fly through of estate’s soon to be built Community Centre.

Watched on the big screen at Wallis Cinema Mount Barker on Friday 24 September, close to 100 attendees showed their enthusiasm for Mount Barker’s premium Retirement Living destination.

They also heard from Southern Cross Care’s Sales and new Projects Operations Manager, Alexandra Hall, and Executive - Environments, John McNamara.

One attendee was Oakfield Rise Stage 2 resident, Kate Ellen, who said moving to the estate was the ‘best move’ she ever made, and that the event was an important milestone for the burgeoning community.

“I thought today was very well presented and I thought it was really good to have a walk through and see,” Kate said.

“You can really see what it’s going to look like.”

“Also, because I’m very close to it and watching it being developed...it’s really good to see the layout like the outside space and dining areas, and it all looks really nice.”

She and other attendees went to nearby Auchendarroch House and Tavern for morning tea after watching the fly through video, giving them a chance to socialise and also meet with Southern Cross Care staff.

Oakfield Rise offers a choice of modern 2 and 3 bedroom villas, and is owned and run by Southern Cross Care, a charitable, not-for-profit organisation.
