Mount Barker’s future is on the rise
A gym and community centre are just some of the benefits on offer to residents of Southern Cross Care’s new $70 million retirement living development in Mount Barker.
This 10-year program which started with Oakfield Lodge Residential Care Centre completed in 2016 and now the commencement of 180 villas constructed in multiple stages, with stage one consisting of 22 villas, now selling.
The development will support approximately 140 construction jobs per stage in a big boost to the local economy. The construction of a public walking and bike path from Hawthorn Road to Dumas Street will also draw more people to the heart of Mount Barker.
